The Night Life

Go to sleep early! Pray isha, and go to sleep. Don’t go to the hokkah joint until 12:30 a.m, don’t go see a movie, don’t go hang out with your friends, don’t watch Islamic lectures until 2 in the morning, do not! It is not beneficial for you…Pray isha and go to sleep, and wake up early. Wake up before fajr. Give yourself 30 minutes, 15 minutes 20…I know it seems impossible, it’s only impossible because of Netflix at night. Okay...that’s the only reason it’s impossible. Give the night life up! Let the night be for sleep...at least you are not accumulating sin every night. At least you are not burying your heart under more sin every night. At least you’re sleeping...at least you’re innocent for that much, at least that much. When you wake up, and you pray...at least start with a routine of praying fajr on time. Start with fajr…and the guys here…at least, at least once a week guys…Make it to the masjid for fajr. I don’t ask you every day, just one day a week. Give yourselves one day a week and you don’t catch the second rak‘ah right before the salaam.

Get to the masjid early…let me tell you something about fajr in the masjid. It has a spiritual impact that only people who go to it will experience. It can’t be explained in a lecture…When you go to it, when you go to the prayer, and you sit there in the masjid quietly… and you wait for the prayer to start and you sit there and recite Quran, and you ask Allah to forgive you in those morning hours and then you stand next to other believers and countless armies of angels and you stan and you pray in front of Allah, in that early morning giving up your sleep, which only happened cause you gave up your night life, when you do that even once a week…the joy you will get out of it, as you are walking out of the masjid you will wish to yourself you did that every morning.

I swear to it. I gaurantee it. You’re going to walk out of the masjid... Saying, ‘Man I wish I could do this every morning.’You really will. But start with once a week…Start with once a week.

One Deed

You know, Subhan’ Allah brothers and sisters, you know when the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Salaam fell sick and he was in his last moments he was; Aisha his wife narrates that was lying down with his head between her chin and her chest and in his last moments, he raised his hand and he said, ‘O Allah, I ask You for companionship with the Highest,’ meaning, I ask you for companionship with You; I wanna be your companion. Right, now Aisha says that when he Sallallahu Assalam says this, she knew that he had chosen to go to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and not stay in this world. And when he passed away, the Ummah fell into a state of confusion and chaos. Like, no one knew what to do. ‘Uthman, he couldn’t even speak, he couldn’t even speak; the narration says he couldn’t even speak. He sat down in the house of Fatimah; in his home. Umar Ibn Al Khattab (ra) he actually stood up in front of the companions in Masjid Nabawi and he pulled out his sword and he said, ‘whoever says, whoever claims that Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has died, I will kill him with this sword of mine! He hasn’t died; he hasn’t died; he will never die!’

Abu Bakr, when he heard the news that the Messenger of Allah passed away, he came, he was out of town, he came into Medina, and he came into the masjid, and he , you know, he went into the room of Aisha (his daughter) where the messenger passed away. And the Messenger of Allah, he found him with his face covered, and he uncovered his face and he kissed him on the forehead and he said that, ‘you will die the death that Allah has written for you and Allah will never cause you to die twice; you’ve passed away.’ Then he comes out, he finds Umar addressing the people and he says, ‘Umar, sit down; stop.’ And Umar didn’t listen in his emotional state that he was in (ra). then Abu Bakr begins addressing the crowd, and the people gravitate towards Abu Bakr (ra), and he says, he says that, ‘whoever used to worship Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, know that Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has passed away, and whoever used to worship Allah, know that Allah is alive and he never dies.’

This woke the companions up from their state of shock, and honestly brothers and sisters; the same can be said for our Ummah right now. That after Ramadan, we just all go back to sleep. It’s as if we forget about Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala; forget about our duties to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, and the same reminder needs to be given. Whoever used to worship Ramadan, then know that Ramadan has passed; it’s done! Ramadan is over. Eid is now here and we’re done. We’re over with Ramadan. But whoever amongst you used to worship Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, know that Allah is alive and he never dies.

And that’s my advice to you brothers and sisters; that we continue worshipping Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, we choose something this Ramadan, we don’t fall into the trap of just, you know, worshipping Allah in Ramadan, but we choose something; at least one thing, maybe more, and we worship Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala throughout Ramadan with this. With that, I close. We ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala to give us the Tawfeeq to be amongst those who worship him throughout the year and draw closer to him every single day of our lives until we meet him.

Dua To Pay Off Your Debts

Brothers and sisters, are you in debt, soon will be or know someone that is, if that’s the case then surely in sha Allah you will find benefit in watching and sharing this video. Are you ready?

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.

In a sound hadith, in Sahih at-Tirmidhi, a man went to Ali Ibne Taleb RadiAllahu Anha, seeking his assistance and support to pay off a due payment on that man. Ali told him (Radi Allahu Anha), ‘shall I not teach you some words, a dua basically, which I learnt from Muhammad Sallellahu Alaihe wa sallam (And don’t forget to say Sallellahu Alaihe wa sallam), had you say these words in this du’a, Allah will take care of your debt and will help you and assist you even if that debt is as big as a mountain. Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar. A dua! Yes! But brothers and sisters! Don’t rush! You say that dua, you are certain Allah will accept. And you need to also take action. You need to action! Not just say that dua and sleep. You organize the way you do your payments. You check the things that you need versus the things that you want and you do all that in sha Allah. May Allah increase our wisdom. Ameen ya Rabbul ‘Alamin!

Bismillah! Go ahead! I can imagine everybody who has a debt is watching like this. Go ahead brother, Bismillah, what’s the dua! Don’t rush in sha Allah! May Allah bless you and protect you and help pay off all your debts. Say, ‘Ameen!’ Ameen ya Rabbul ‘Alameen!

Ali Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha tells him, “Say, Qul! Allahumaa (O Allah!), help me, suffice me with that which is lawful against that which is unlawful.” Basically, O Allah! Don’t make me use the unlawful avenues and resources to pay off my debt whether it was accepting briberies, or stealing people’s money or any other means to take care of my needs. Rather Ya Allah! Make me use the halal, permissible avenues to do so. “And O Allah make me independent of everything besides you Ya Allah!” Allahu Akbar! What an amazing dua. Once again, “Allahumma Ikfini bi halalika an haramik, wagnini bifablika ansiwak.”

The dua is a sound hadith from saheeh at-tirmithi:

'اللَّهمَّ اكفني بِحلالِكَ عن حرامِكَ ، وأغنِني بِفَضلِكَ عَن سواكَ'

Transliteration: 'Allahummak-finee be halaaleka ‘an haraamek, wa ‘aghnenee befaDleka ‘an sewaak'

Brothers and sisters, may Allah bless you. And Allah, just think about it! If Allah provides for those who disbelieve in Him, will He forget about those who testify there is no one worthy of worship except Him? But you need to make dua and be certain Allah will accept and you need to take action. Make sure you know how you organize your stuff in terms of payments and the needs versus the wants and you are gonna need like the latest phone or the latest TV when you have a lot of load on you? Just think and use your wisdom in sha Allah. May Allah bless you!
